Guitars

Jackson Kelly XL USA Custom A one-of-a-kind, built in the Jackson custom shop in Ontario, California, '93. Heavy mahagony body, neck-thru, custom made pickups, fantastic sound and sustain. My No. 1 live guitar in the moment.
Jackson Dinky Reverse used for live gigs, adapted with a fixed bridge now. It is tuned to dropped c# for the low end songs .
ESP M-II Deluxe fantastic allround guitar, customized at the german ESP-shop back in the days. It has a splitcoil switch and an active booster for extreme sound versatility now.
Ibanez RG 7-620 the common Ibanez 7-string with great sound and the ultimate price-performance ratio. Used to be my live guitar in late Panama Speed times. More about it at Ibanezregister.com.
Ibanez 540 PII very rare Ibanez model (the Alex Skolnick model) with a unique airbrush paint job. This guitar is pure metal. More about it at Ibanezregister.com.
Ibanez S 540 decent '80s style guitar that used to be neon yellow (urg!). More about it at Ibanezregister.com.
Washburn Dime 333 R.I.P. Dime. In memory of one of the greatest guitar players who ever walked the earth. - I upgraded it with the original pickups and a Schaller floyd-rose.
Hondo Strat my first ever guitar.Got a selfmade paint job, it used to be plain black. It's kinda crappy but delivers a great Hendrix style sound with the neck singlecoil.
Samick Flying V got smashed at the end of a Panama Speed gig in 1997 or something. Neck broken - totally wrecked. :-) Was cheap and uncomfortable anyway.
Art & Lutherie Cedar Model steel-string acoustic with rich sound
Ibanez AES-616 Acoustic electro-acoustic guitar with quite small body.
Yamaha RBX 250 Bass kinda simple bass that only delivers the basic rock sound due to its limited splitcoil pickup. Sounds dirty.
Yamaha RBX 375 Bass 5-string with 2 humbuckers and active electronics. Delivers more sophisticated, modern sounds for all musical styles.

Amplification and Guitar Effects

Peavey Triple XXX Halfstack
full valve top with 120 Watts! This beast is loud and has lots of gain. In combination with the TC G-Major.
Marshall Valvestate 8100 Halfstack used to be my live and studio amp for almost 10 years now, in combination with the Zoom 9030 and the Rolls RFX Patchwork Switcher/Looper
Line6 Spider 112 Combo nice little amp for loud practicing. I used it for the PUN "Perseverance" tracks in the studio, too.
TC Electronics G-Major Multieffect high quality standard effects for my live rig.
Zoom 9030 Multieffect not so high quality standard effects but some wicked special effects and a decent amp simulation - many years before all those PODs, V-Amps etc.
Korg Toneworks Pandora PX-4 nice practicing tool with tuner, metronome, drum sequencer, aux input, phrase sampler with pitch shift and time correction, a really good acoustic guitar modeler, intelligent pitch shifter, amp simulations and so on.
Zoom Fire 7010 battery powered practicing "amp" with a fold-out mini-speaker. Great for travelling and electric guitar performance at the campfire :-). Also used it for the Marathon:Eternal guitar tracks.
Morley Bad Horsie 2 Wah doesn't sound better than a Crybaby, but switches automatically on pedal movement
Behringer FCB-1010 for switching channels and controlling the TC G-Major

Studio

Steinberg Nuendo DAW Nuendo 4.1 + NEK on a Core 2 Duo E6750, 2x Terratec Phase 88 DA-Converter, BlackMagic Intensity for HD video output, 5.1 mixing ability
Guitar Rig 3 great tool for having a huge palette of guitar sounds instantly in the studio. Though there's still nothing that rivals a miked amp
Native Instruments Kore 2 + Komplete 3/4 the most comprehensive collection of soft synths and effect plug-ins, awesome allround music production tool including Reaktor 5, Kontakt 2, Massive, Intakt, Kompakt, Absynth 4, FM7/8 , Battery, Pro-53, Akoustik Piano etc.

Synth & MIDI

Ensoniq EPS-16+ standalone sampler from the early '90s with 2 MB RAM !! Had some great sounds though, e.g. the Boesendorfer piano sample. Out of use today.
Yamaha SY 77 synthesizer workstation I ripped a lot of sounds from for use in AMIGA mods. I sold it in the mid '90s.
